A Valentine's Day board made with candy and fruit is a fun way to celebrate! To create this delightful treat, start with a large platter or board. Then, gather an assortment of candies in different colors, shapes, and flavors. Think about including favorites like chocolates, gummies, and conversation hearts.
As you assemble your charcuterie board, think about balance and variety. Mix up the textures and flavors to keep things interesting. Don't forget to add some romantic touches, like arranging candies in heart shapes or spelling out sweet messages with letter-shaped candies.
For the Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
1. Set up a dipping station to make the process run smoothly and clean up easier. Place sprinkles into individual dishes, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, have another dish to catch the excess sprinkles and grab a tall kitchen glass.
2. Add white melting chocolates to a microwave safe bowl. Follow directions on your wafer bag to melt chocolates. Transfer melted chocolate to a tall glass.
3. Dip pretzel rod into the middle of the glass. Spin the rod around until covered with chocolate. To cover more length of the rod in chocolate, tilt the glass like shown and spin.
4. Lift up the rod and allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
5. Add sprinkles and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat until half of the pretzel rods have been dipped.
6. Repeat steps above for the red melting wafers and the remaining pretzel rods.Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to allow chocolate to set.
Arrange the candies neatly on the board, leaving space for other treats like cookies, pretzels, or fruit. You can also add some festive decorations like heart-shaped sprinkles or ribbons to make it extra special.
