Easy Homemade Irish Soda Bread

What you need: all-purpose  flour baking powder baking soda salt light brown  sugar vegetable oil caraway seeds raisins eggs buttermilk butter

In large bowl, Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Stir in sugar, oil, caraway seeds and raisins, then eggs and buttermilk. Gradually add the flour mixture.

Stir until a dough forms, it will be sticky.

Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead briefly.

Shape into a round and place in a greased 8-inch cast iron skillet or round cake pan.

Using a sharp knife, score an X in top, brush with melted butter  and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake until golden brown,30 to 40 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes, then remove from pan and let cool completely.
