Easy Instant Pot Asian-Style Short Ribs

An Instant Pot will  cook these short ribs  to fall-off-the bone tenderness in just 45 minutes. 

Whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, gochujang if using, garlic, ginger, tomato paste, sesame oil and red pepper flakes.

Brown the short ribs in batches on Sauté setting.  

Return browned short ribs to the instant pot. Whisk sauce, then pour it over ribs.

Secure the lid, and set the pressure valve to seal.

Pressure-cook on high for 45 minutes, followed by naturally releasing steam for 15 minutes. Release remaining pressure by adjusting pressure valve to venting position. Open lid.

Remove short ribs to a bowl. Pour sauce into a saucepan, add cornsarch mixture and simmer until thickened slightly. Stir in rice vinegar.

Serve the ribs sprinkled with scallions and sesame seeds, and the sauce poured over.  Enjoy!
