Iced Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are a beloved classic for good reason--they're soft and chewy with a cozy spiced flavor and topped with a sweet vanilla icing--and addictive!

Make the batter. Fold in flour, oats, and nuts. 

Drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls onto baking sheets. Bake at 375F until browned around edges, about 10 minutes. Let cool on rack. 

Make the icing and spread over cooled cookies. Let set.
